Everybody immediately stopped talking and shot a glance at him. They were all cousins, though he was technically a stranger to all of them. The long-lost cousin, the one who grew up in Metro Manila who has never been home since he was a baby.
Her hometown only had one coffee shop, and it was good.

He had to drop his grocery bags, again. This was the fifth time he has had to do it, at 2 minute intervals it seems. He estimates he has about 200 meters left to finally get home, based on his distance tracking when he was still walking as a cardio exercise every morning.
