A Colombian-Israeli startup named Demetria is reported to have created an artificial intelligence data platform that supposedly can determine the quality of beans. We’ve seen that viral video of a robot making a latte, complete with latte art, but this takes it to another level – this is automating something only experienced professionals with impeccable senses are able (and licensed) to do.
I have on TV three times (that I know of): I got interviewed for a news show when the LRT 2 was just newly opened (I was still a student then, yeah I’m old); I got focused as part of the crowd watching an NCAA game for hamming it up to the cameras; and I was on Tulfo.
I’ve been watching the second season of the Snowpiercer series on Netflix and I absolutely love it. Just finished what technically is the penultimate episode of the season (although it is just episode 8 of 10) and I just like how they wrote that. Without spoiling anything so much, the blow dealt by one major character to another one was so decisive without needing to resort to force. It was done by highlighting his strengths while also making his opponent’s weakness so clear that you can’t really question who won this one. It was good writing, good acting, and ultimately great directing. How was it done? There was a problem, someone qualified had the best solution for it.
So here’s the deal: I now have my own Flair (a beautiful matte white Flair Signature from Etica Lifestyle); I want to use it every day; and I exert too much effort using it that I just want to drink good, no-fuss coffee the rest of the day. I wish I have an automatic coffee maker – oh wait, I have an OXO Brew Pour Over Coffee Maker with water tank so I’m good. Let’s discuss.
I, for one, cannot wait for season 2 of the morning show. I know it’s a behind-the-scenes look at a major network’s morning show (which is so brazen to just call itself The Morning Show), but what I really liked about it was how it explored office politics. Also, it’s set in New York City (though sometimes shot in LA) and they have the Cory Ellison character, who is my favorite (more about that later).
