I use a web browser that recommends articles (powered by the site/app Pocket) and one of the articles it suggested today was this beauty by Vox titled “Scientists agree: Coffee naps are better than coffee or naps alone”. I fully agree.
It’s a good read, not only telling us that coffee naps are good but actually presenting facts to support it. “Coffee Nap” is Continue reading “The (apparent) Power of the Coffee Nap”
Not trying to be extra with that title, it was not easy to find this café inside the Ayala Malls the 30th.
Take your pick
Before anything else, am I the only one who finds it weird that this mall is called “Ayala Malls the 30th”? Continue reading “There it was, a Moment of Happiness”
I’ve touched on it with the second part of the “Instant coffee, is it Kape” series. Those lovely, complex flavored Arabica beans are in danger of extinction because the places where they grow are dying out.
Fun fact: Those slabs of concrete were once the flooring inside our house.
The study being referenced by the articles was conducted by the Kew Royal Botanic Gardens in the UK, Continue reading “You may have seen recent articles about an alarming number of coffee species facing extinction. Here’s another (albeit less informed) one”
Catchy title, ain’t it? Sounds like I did a whole lot of research, right? No. I just opened up several articles (okay, four) and started typing away.
Well, yes, the picture is too warm. But look at the color of that coffee!
Okay, maybe it wasn’t that random. At the start of the year – January 4, 2019, to be exact – I posted a question on my IG stories: “What time in the day do you usually have your first cup/shot (of coffee)”? Turnout was intense! I had to sort through hundreds of answers! Okay, it was more 8 answers – but still, that’s about 3% of the number of followers I had that time. Continue reading “I seldom drink coffee early in the morning, I am right but also wrong. You may be too!”
If you are as old as me, you’ll remember that there was a rotunda in Kapitolyo and that there was a stately looking structure where capitol commons is now. Pasig was once the capital of Rizal Province and the Provincial Capitol, you guessed it, was in Kapitolyo. Heck, even after Pasig became part of Metro Manila, the Governor of Rizal’s seat was still here at Kapitolyo. How do I know this? My mom once worked in a PCI Bank Branch and her friends were transferred to the Kapitolyo branch, which was near my alma mater. Thus, there were times when she took me on her visits there. What the hell is a PCI Bank? It’s what we know as BDO today.
It’s beautiful from the outside
Where’s my alma mater? Well I can’t share that to you. Moving on. Continue reading “Spending time with your bitter half”
